In partnership, teaching artists and students discover cultural connections and experience multiple international dances including: Italy, Spain, China, Russia, Israel, Finland, Africa, Hungary, Ireland, and more. Many routines are traditional folk dances, while some have a modern twist or an element of surprise. Vibrant costumes and unique music abound, serving to expand students’ dance vocabularies and to provide exposure to a multitude of artistic traditions and cultures. Audience members will consequently experience an exuberant celebration of cultural dances and live music from around the world.
